Calcite, Prehnite and Quartz coat this layer of Epidote, on Basalt. The large, very pale Amethyst crystal has a single blade of Prehnite protruding from the back of it, and a very small bubble. There are Epidote crystals, and a few small Quartz crystals, visible between the botryoidal Prehnite, and grey Calcite crystals on one side. A good display specimen. |
